Many a successful date has started at the bar: chatting about music and the world helps you get to know each other better before things get more serious. This season, we’re once again setting up our bar on the stage of the Düsseldorf Opera House – and for our four musical rendezvous, we’re inviting musicians from the region who are experts in completely different genres. Making music together with ensemble members of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein creates special encounters. Through conversation at the bar, varied and exciting programmes, and the occasional unexpected common ground, we get up close and personal with music!

On a musical journey across genres, we head to Japan, where opera singing meets Japanese music.
