Come Together!

Theater Duisburg opens its doors and creates new encounters! In keeping with this year's Akzente Festival motto, one hour before the start of selected performances, the stage is set for “Come Together!” Together with guests from our city's music and dance scene, we celebrate the exchange of different musical worlds in the theater. “Come Together!” is an invitation to all curious minds. Just drop by and let yourself be surprised: it will be open, lively, and always different.

Numaqam AkusTika is an extraordinary fusion of musical cultures and styles that bridges the rich soundscapes at the intersection of East and West. The duo combines different acoustic spheres to create intense, atmospheric music that opens up exciting new listening spaces. With their unique instrumentation of duduk, saxophone, and guitar, musicians André Meisner and Gürsoy Tanç create an unmistakable sound: sometimes delicate and melancholic, sometimes powerful, pulsating, and full of energy. Their pieces reflect the musical traditions and moods of different regions—condensed into their own contemporary language. Carried by captivating melodies and a strong stage presence, “Numaqam AkusTika” develops an immediate closeness to the audience.
