It is the largest charity event of its kind organized by the German Red Cross in Germany: the festive opera gala of the German Red Cross in Duisburg is a highlight in the social life of the city and is in demand far beyond its borders.
Now in its 19th year, soloists from the Deutsche Oper am Rhein ensemble and the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Chief Conductor Vitali Alekseenok, will once again present a dazzling musical program with excerpts from Verdi's “Nabucco” and Puccini's “Turandot” in the first half and a musical world tour in the second half. Stephen Harrison will be the host for the evening.
When you buy your ticket, you are not only buying the anticipation of an exclusive concert programme: you are also supporting social projects and the work of the DRK in Duisburg. VIP tickets make it a very special evening: a festive atmosphere at the champagne reception, the best seats at the gala concert and a multi-course culinary highlight dinner to round off the evening - for an all-round successful evening.
