Many a great date has started at the bar: While chatting about music and the world, you get to know each other better before things get more serious. This season, too, we’re setting up our bar once again on the stage of the Düsseldorf Opera House—and for our four musical rendezvous, we’re inviting musicians from the region who are at home in completely different genres. Making music together with ensemble members of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein creates truly special encounters.

Following a special rendezvous with Düsseldorf’s sister city, Palermo, a date featuring electronic music kicks things off, pairing pulsating synthesizer sounds with first-class vocals. Next up is a musical crossover journey to Japan and a date with fast-paced, rhythmic tap dancing. Chatting at the bar, with diverse and exciting programs and more than a few unexpected commonalities, we’ll get up close and personal with music! //
