Katya Semenisty

Katya Semenisty was born in Ukraine in 1998 and moved to Israel with her family as a child. She completed her bachelor's degree in 2022 at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance under Prof. Marina Levitt and Dr. Ido Ariel. She then studied musical theatre/opera singing at the August Everding Theatre Academy with Prof. Talia Or until 2024. She won first prize in the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance competition and was a scholarship holder of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.

In the 2025/26 season, she will sing the Sandmännchen (Humperdinck's “Hänsel and Gretel”), Tisbe (Rossini's “La Cenerentola”), Aziza (Schreier's “Die blaue Sau”) and Player 1 (Hübner & Nemitz's “The Drop”) and will also be appearing in the opera studio's masterclass concerts.
