Edvin Somai

Originally from Hungary, Edvin Somai is a graduate of the Palucca University of Dance, Dresden. He previously trained at the Hungarian Dance Academy in Budapest and made guest appearances as a dancer with Semperoper Dresden and the Hungarian State Opera. Edvin Somai became a member of the Ballett am Rhein company at the beginning of the 2020/21 season. Since then, he has appeared in the role of a Waiter in Demis Volpi’s ‘Geschlossene Spiele’, the grandfather in 'der Nussknacker' the Fire Captain in Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s ‘Die kahle Sängerin’ and also in ‘Spectrum’ by Juanjo Arqués, Aszure Barton’s ‘Come In’and 'the thing with feathers' by Demis Volpi.
