The Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the Haus der Kulturen e. V. are joining forces: Ensemble members Sylvia Hamvasi, Maria Polaňska, David Fischer, and Žilvinas Miškinis will perform with the "Avangard Brass Band" for an evening dedicated to Balkan brass, a vibrant yet melancholic musical style that is exuberant, multilingual, and characterized by its rich brass sound. Led by bandleader Kamber Kanturski, the "Avangard Brass Band" will showcase its trumpets, trombones, and drums, creating exciting fusion moments and a thrilling musical rendezvous between operetta arias, drinking songs, and folklore, in collaboration with the opera.
