Attilio Cremonesi

Attilio Cremonesi, winner of several national and international competitions, studied in Piacenza and Basel and is now one of the specialists for rarely performed baroque and classical compositions, which is documented on numerous CD recordings. He has conducted concerts and opera productions at some of the most important festivals and theaters in Europe.
From 2018 to 2021 he was First Guest Conductor of the Orquesta Filarmonica of Santiago de Chile, since the 2021/22 season Attilio Cremonesi has been Artistic Director and Conductor of the Halle Handel Festival Orchestra and since the 2024/25 season also Conductor in Residence of the Staatstheater and the Karlsruhe Handel Festival. Since 2023, the conductor has held a professorship for the theory and practice of the basso continuo at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan. Cremonesi will make his debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein with “Giulio Cesare in Egitto”.
