Englishman Henry Ross studied singing on a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He graduated with honours in 2020 and won the Toni V. Fell Prize. The tenor continued his studies with Richard Berkeley-Steele and James Baillieu. As a member of the Royal Academy Opera, he performed the title role in Britten's Albert Herring, among other roles. Other engagements include the roles of Nardone in Paisiello's “La Frascatana” at the New Chamber Opera in Oxford and Mengone in Haydn's “The Apothecary”. His repertoire in the field of church music, which he performs with renowned orchestras and conductors, includes J.S. Bach's “Matthäus-Passion” (Evangelist), “Magnifica”t and the “Osteroratorium”, Händel's “Israel in Egyp”t and “Messiah”, and Mozart's “Requiem”. Henry Ross made his debut as a soloist with the Royal Academy at London's Wigmore Hall with J.S. Bach's Cantata BWV 22 under the baton of Rachel Podger and the “Johannes-Passion” under Philippe Herreweghe. He performed Vaughan Williams' song cycle “On Wenlock Edge” at the Cambridge Summer Music Festival in 2022.

In the 2025/26 season, he will sing Jaquino in “Fidelio” (van Beethoven), Ruiz in “Il trovatore” (Verdi) and Kater/Docht in “Pinocchio” (Schötz & Meinhold). He will also be heard in the opera studio's masterclass concerts.
