children's and youth carnival parade 2026

In spring 2026, it will be time to shout ‘Düsseldorf Helau!’ three times again at the 2026 children's and youth carnival parade. The Junge Oper am Rhein will be there again with its own group under the motto ‘Mitternachtstür’ (Midnight Door). What happens when it gets dark and the hour of the ghosts strikes? We need your help! Everyone is welcome: accompanied children, young people, babies in prams – and lots of ghosts, clocks and doors! Get your costumes ready!

Just two conditions:

• There must be more children than adults in the group. Please let the aunts, uncles and grandparents cheer the children on along the way. (We will be enough adults to guarantee the safety of everyone in the parade)
• The theme is binding for young and old: "Mitternachtstür".

We’ll bring the candy. 😉
