Jussi Myllys

After completing his training in Helsinki, Jussi Myllys was engaged by the Frankfurt Opera. His repertoire includes all the major Mozart tenor roles and, more recently, dramatic roles such as those in Wagner operas. Guest engagements have taken Jussi Myllys to the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Semperoper Dresden, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Nationale Opera Amsterdam, the Theatre Basel, the Finnish National Opera, the Opéra National du Rhin, the Edinburgh Festival, and the Savonlinna Opera Festival. He is also in demand as a concert singer with a repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary music.

In the 2026/27 season, he will take on the roles of Štewa Buryja (Janáček’s “Jenůfa”), Don José (Bizet’s “Carmen”) and Tamino (Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”), as well as performing in "Comedian Harmonists" and in “Rendezvous at Half Past Seven: Opera Meets Elektrobeats”.
