Neshama Nashman

Dancer & Choreograph
Canadian Neshama Nashman studied at the Evelyn Hart Conservatory in Toronto, Canada, and completed her training with courses at the Paris Opera, the Ellison Ballet and the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. In 2019, she became half-soloist at Opera Krakowska Ballet in Poland, where she danced in Marius Petipa’s ‘The Nutcracker’, Monika Strzepka’s ‘Joan of Arc at the Stake’ and the leading role of Helena in the world premiere of Giorgio Madia’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
Neshama Nashman became a member of the Ballett am Rhein company at the beginning of the 2020/21 season, and has danced the role of the Grandmother in Demis Volpi’s ‘The Nutcracker’, on which she also worked as a choreographer. Neshama danced in "Carmen" by Roland Petit, "Baal" by Aszure Barton, "Salt Womb" by Sharon Eyal, "Phlegmatic Summer" by Michèle Anne De Mey, and "Four Temperaments" by George Balanchine.
She first discovered her passion for choreography in a co-operative project between the Ballett am Rhein and tanzhaus and has pursued this path eagerly since.
