Laura Poe

Laura Poe studied at the Juilliard School New York and at the University of North Carolina. Her participation in the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program rounds out her training. As an accompanist, she won 3rd prize at the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition in London. She has worked with outstanding musicians, conductors and composers including John Adams, Sir Thomas Allen, James Levine, Lisette Oropesa, Peter Sellars, Renata Scotto, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Deborah Voigt. She has teaching experience at the Juilliard School and the Semperoper Dresden. Since November 2011, she has been the principal répétiteur of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Parallel to this activity, Laura Poe works regularly at major international opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera New York, San Francisco Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu and De Nationale Opera Amsterdam.
