Sabina López Miguez, trained soprano, was born in Aachen, Germany. She began her vocal studies in Tunja (Colombia) and continued them with a supplement in vocal pedagogy at the Conservatory in Maastricht. Already during her bachelor studies she performed in various university performances as well as in numerous opera productions in collaboration with Opera Zuid Maastricht and the Euregio Children's Opera. She then successfully completed her Master's degree in Voice Performance with Prof. Wolfgang Millgramm at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. At the same time she completed the Master of Arts in Culture, Aesthetics and Media at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. Most recently, she completed a Master's degree in "Directing Vocal Ensembles: Singing with Children and Young People" at Folkwang University with Prof. Werner Schepp. As a soloist, she participates in song recitals and church concerts. Since 2012, she has been active as a singers' leader in the "Singpause" project in Düsseldorf, and in 2013 she took over the children's choir groups Aalto Spätzchen and Aalto Spatzen at ChorForum Essen, and since 2014/15 she has also led the Kinderchor am Rhein.
