Nastasia Khrustcheva

Composer, pianist, musicologist, lecturer and author Nastasia Khrustcheva was born in 1987 in Leningrad. She graduated from the Rimsky-Korsavok State Conservatory of St. Petersburg in 2010 with a degree in composition. In parallel, she majored in electronic music at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. In 2014, after further studies at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, where she is now a lecturer, she submitted her dissertation. She was a scholarship holder of the Bachwoche Ansbach and the Wagner Association Bayreuth and is the winner of numerous prizes in various fields, won composition competitions and was nominated several times for the Russian theater prize "Goldene Maske". Nastasia Khrustcheva's plays, like her compositions, have been performed at the Bolshoi Theater in St. Petersburg, among others. In addition to compositions for orchestra, piano, voice or chamber ensembles, she has composed music for more than 30 drama productions. Her symphonic compositions are performed worldwide.
