We see YOUNG⁺ as an attitude of being open and curious about the world. We create new artistic performances and formats in the field of music theater and dance. To do this, we go out of the opera and into the city. And we invite people to our opera house: a house for everyone!
For us, YOUNG⁺ means wanting to help shape the future of urban society and the way we live together - to this end, we create participatory artistic spaces for all age groups.

Participatory music theater by and with young and old
Music theater rethought, close-up and excitingly told - all this and much more can be seen in the mobile venue of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, which was conceived and designed by the architecture firm raumlabor berlin, made possible by the “Neue Wege” funding program of the NRW KULTURsekretariat Wuppertal.
The UFO is a real eye-catcher, a research station and a musical sound laboratory. It wants to be a place of encounter and cooperate with local actors to invent music theater together.

One thing is certain: we all dance! Every culture in the world has developed its own way of dancing and passed it on over the centuries as an intangible heritage. But which dance form is closest to us personally - ballet or breakdance, plié or paso doble? When do we want to dance?
At Ballett am Rhein, we dance out of passion and we have one big request: dance with us!
