If only walls could talk! Since its construction in 1912, the Theater Duisburg has seen a great deal: together with experts from the Duisburg City Archives and musicians from the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, we’ll be listening closely and lending our voices to this historic venue in the heart of the city. In this series of concert-talks – building on last season’s UFO format – we will be taking a closer look at the theatre’s architecture, particularly the foyer, as well as the institutional histories of the Duisburg Philharmonic and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, across three events at the Duisburg Theatre. Accompanied by music, stories will be shared, historical images viewed and surprising discoveries made.
