Luiza Fatyol

Born in Romania, Luiza Fatyol graduated with honors from the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca. During her studies, she took part in numerous national and international competitions, consistently placing among the winners and distinguishing herself through her high level of sensitivity and musicality.
From 2011 to 2014, she was a member of the opera studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and was then accepted into the ensemble. Guest engagements have taken her to the Komische Oper Berlin, the Theater Dortmund, the Essen Philharmonic, and the Romanian State Operas in Bucharest, Cluj, and Timisoara, among others. In 2020, she recorded Meyerbeer's “Romilda e Costanza” for Naxos Records, and in 2022, she recorded Auber's opera “Le Philtre” at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad. Highlights of her career in 2025 include her successful debuts as Tatiana in Tchaikovsky's “Eugene Onegin” at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Violetta Valéry in Verdi's “La traviata” with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in New Zealand under the baton of G. Bellincampi.

In the 2025/26 season, Luiza Fatyol will appear at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Micaëla (Bizet's “Carmen”), Liù (Puccini's “Turandot”), Gerhilde (Wagner's “Die Walküre”) and in her role debut as Leonora in Verdi's “Il trovatore”, among others.
