In an installation setting, the space itself becomes the audience's choreographic partner. A large axis rotating around a fixed point initiates a gentle movement and guides visitors through the installation. Led by the space, they circle around a center—like planets in their orbits—and thus become actors in a collective movement.
On this journey, the audience encounters projected dance videos that appear from different perspectives in the space, accompanied by live improvised jazz music. The videos by choreographer and dancer Kauan Soares, commissioned by the Theatermuseum, are inspired by Heinrich Wendel's painting cycle “Planetary Meditations” and are now entering a further phase of encounter and interpretation: New worlds of color and sound are created live. Image, movement, and music interweave to form a space of experience in which moods and atmospheres are constantly changing: sometimes expansive and floating, sometimes dense and intimate. The space becomes a sounding board for perception and emotion.
What begins as a circular movement around an inner center increasingly becomes a reflection on ourselves—a journey inward. Towards the end, this perspective opens up to the outside world: our gaze shifts from our own inner selves to our counterparts, to encounters and contact—and finally to the quiet, often overlooked beauty of everyday life.
