Symphoniker im Foyer

In the stylish ambience of Düsseldorf's opera foyer, members of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra join singers from the opera ensemble to explore well-known and lesser-known masterpieces of chamber music.
Shortly before the opera premiere of ‘María de Buenos Aires’, the symphony orchestra's chamber concert will be dedicated to the compositions of its creator, Astor Piazzolla. Tango rhythms from Gardel to Piazzolla, the music of freedom par excellence, which breaks down boundaries and allows every sound, from the voice to the double bass, to shine as a soloist, will be heard in this matinee as a tribute to the inventor of ‘tango nuevo’.
