The multi-award-winning singer Anna Harvey studied in Cambridge and at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Engagements have taken the British singer, who most recently won first prize at the Paris Opéra Competition in 2022, to De Nationale Opera in Amsterdam, Welsh National Opera, Ópera de Oviedo, Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, Dortmund, Essen, Cologne, and Chemnitz, as well as to the Verbier Festival and the “Last Night of the Proms” at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Her extensive opera and concert repertoire ranges from early music to contemporary compositions. As a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, she has already performed several roles here.
In 2025/26, Anna Harvey will perform Cesare (Händel's “Giulio Cesare in Egitto”), Carmen (Bizet's “Carmen”), Fenena (Verdi's “Nabucco”), Fricka (Wagner's “Die Walküre”), and once again Hänsel (Humperdinck's “Hänsel und Gretel”), Second Lady (Mozart's “Die Zauberflöte”), and Flower Maiden (Wagner's “Parsifal”).
